Troubleshooting

  1. 1
Make sure your location settings are correct (mobile). If you're having trouble with your location on Facebook, such as Facebook thinking you are somewhere you aren't, it may be because your location settings are disabled for Facebook. Make sure location services are enabled on your device:
    • iPhone/iPad [11]
      • Open the settings app.
      • Go to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services .
      • Enable Location Services if disabled.
      • Scroll down and tap Facebook .
      • Select when to allow Facebook access to your location, such as While Using the App or Always .
    • Android [12]
      • Open your Settings and select Location .
      • If Location is off, turn it on.
      • Tap App permissions or App location permissions . [13]
      • Select Facebook and give it permission to access your location.
        • If you don't see this option, go back to settings and select Apps > Facebook . You should see the option to change location permissions here. [14]
  2. 2
Turn off your VPN. If Facebook thinks you are in the wrong location, it might serve you ads from other places, list the wrong distances for businesses, show your location improperly on maps, and affect your searches. This usually happens when you're using a VPN with an IP address in another region. Disabling your VPN should fix this problem.
  3. 3
If you can't change your Page address, you may not have permission. Your Facebook account must have Full Control or Partial Control access to be able to edit the location on a Facebook Page. If your account only has task access (for example, if you create content for the Facebook Page using another Meta management tool), you can't change the location. [15]
