In 2021, Jojo Siwa came out as pansexual. She later clarified that she was a lesbian, a label she identified with for almost four years. In 2025, Siwa started dating reality TV star Chris Hughes , which really threw some people for a loop. When asked about her relationship, Siwa would go on to say, “I’ve always told myself I’m a lesbian, and I think being here I’ve realized: ‘Oh, I’m not a lesbian, I’m queer.’ And I think that’s really cool.”

This means that Jojo Siwa identifies under the general term “queer” now. It’s important to note that there’s nothing strange about her flipping between identifies: sexuality is complicated, and it can take a lot of time to find a label that completely encompasses all of your desires, attractions, and romances. So, until Jojo Siwa says otherwise, it’s best to not speculate or guess about what she might “really” be. She’s living her truth and you should too!
