Cloud storage helps you save files to the cloud, so they don't take up space on your Android device. But you don't want to run out of cloud storage, or you might run into errors whenever you try to save data to the cloud! Here's how you can check your cloud storage space with services like Dropbox, Google Drive, and OneDrive.

Checking Cloud Storage on Android

  • For Google Drive, open the app and tap ☰ > Storage .
  • For OneDrive, open the app, and tap your profile picture to see your storage listed at the bottom of the menu.
  • For Dropbox, tap your profile picture and view your storage space in the "Your Storage" box.

  1. You can either open the Google One app or head over to Google One's storage management page . Google One makes it easy to check the cloud storage for your Google account so you always know how much space you have left. You'll also be able to see how much cloud storage space is consumed by Google Drive, Google Photos, and even Gmail attachments. [1]

  1. The Drive icon looks like a triangle with green, yellow, and blue edges. You can find it on your Apps menu.
  2. This three-line menu button is located in the top-left corner of your screen. It will open your navigation menu panel on the left-hand side of your screen.
  3. This opens a new page with more about how much storage you are currently using in Google Drive.
  4. You'll see a line icon that tells you how much space you're using with what, and the More details button shows more about the space you're using.
    • For example, the yellow in the line graph shows that a large amount of data is being used. Tap Show More to see what is represented by the yellow line (Photos), and exactly how much space is being used by Photos, like 2 GB.
    • You'll see something like "X of 15 GB" above the line, which tells you how much space you have left. [3]

Using OneDrive

  1. This is also the same method for pictures synced with Samsung Cloud. While Samsung Cloud doesn't state a storage limit for your device, there is a 12-month window; anything that hasn't been used in 12 months will be deleted.
    • Sign in if you aren't already logged in.
  2. It's in the top left corner of your screen. Tapping this option will prompt another menu to slide out from the left side of your screen.
  3. At the bottom of the menu, you'll see "X used of Y." "Y" can stand for either 5 GB, 100 GB, 1 TB, or 6 TB. [4]

  1. The Dropbox icon looks like an open box in a blue circle. You can find it on your Apps menu.
    • If you're not automatically logged in, tap the Sign in button at the bottom to sign in with your email, or sign in with your linked Google account.
  2. It's in the bottom right corner of your screen.
