There are a few basic rules that Xbox makes you follow when you're creating your gamertag. We've listed them for you below. Your Xbox username must:
- Be 12 characters maximum
- Not start with a number
- Not include special characters
- Not include consecutive spaces (meaning, two or more spaces in a row)
- Avoid offensive language
