Strategies to win the lottery?
False hope sounds about right. I've been playing scratch-offs for way too many years, and I can confidently say that big wins are few and yet, in spite of the endless frustration, you keep coming back for more of the same, always hoping, always telling yourself that you're not only eligible, but overdue in fact, by now, to win a big one- (you're not.) Its a cruel, mean thing to do to yourself over and over again and again. All the pretty colors, and the pictures, and the blitzing you with dollar signs and zeros everywhere.... shamefully, we inherently know the terrible odds better than most, and our actions can only be labeled as what they really are: Foolish, indeed. The saddest part of this revelation is the fact that those of us who probably spend the most, are they who can least afford to even play, let alone lose. It's an evilly-designed conundrum we find ourselves in, and conspiratorially or not, I honestly believe that NONE of these games are won by chance. The way I see it, there are no coincidences. I once stopped playing video poker for 6 months, and my bank account went up by thousands of dollars. Make what you will of that, but it's plain as day to me- it's a trap, planned by wily minds and greedy entrepreneurs, who can sleep at night because they continue to tell themselves that nobody forces anyone to play. This, your results are your own fault. End of story. And they'd be right on the money. I need to quit hoping to receive something for free. Especially since my whole life has been a testament to the fact that anything I ever really wanted, I worked for. As some poster in some workplace once wisely read, 'There IS no free lunch, and NO, it ain't comin' in the mail!

> Wishful Thinker, (and) Formerly Waster of Thousands of Hard-Earned Wages-
