    Expert Answer
Make the first paragraph important. It should contain as much information as possible, and it should be catchy. Also, make the content visually accessible by breaking the text into paragraphs and using subheadings. You want the reader's eye to be drawn through the article. The subheadings should tell the story so that you can scan those and gain an idea of what you're going to be reading. Bullet points are also good ways to make content accessible.
  • Question
Can I have a blog if I am only 12 years old?
    Community Answer
Yes, just get a parent or responsible adult's permission to start it and never share personal information, like your name or contact info. Use WordPress.com as you can report and block people and follow your parents' online safety guidelines at all times.
  • Question
What should I do if I can't have a parent help right now?
    Community Answer
Wait until until your parent can help you. In the meantime, think about the posts you'd like to put and start writing them on the computer or even paper. If your parent is taking a long time to help you, schedule in an appointment and time.
  • Question
Is Google Adsense optional when promoting my blog?
    Community Answer
Yes. The only reason you’d be using it would be to get paid for posting.
  • Question
What kind of writing should be in a blog?
    Community Answer
Your blog can be about anything and everything you would like it to be about. It is entirely up to you.
  • Question
Do I really have to ask my parents before uploading?
    Community Answer
Yes, because it is good to tell them what is going on and what you want to do.
  • Question
What do I do if my written blog is a failure as a kid?
    Community Answer
Keep trying! There's no such thing as failing when you're writing a blog. If you're not attracting a ton of attention, that's okay. It doesn't happen overnight. Just keep writing and trying to improve.
  • Question
How do I create an online presence for my writing as a kid?
    Community Answer
If you would like more page views on your blog, consider contacting other bloggers who blog about similar subjects. You could arrange to do guest posts or promote each other’s blogs, and on some platforms you can trade ‘blog buttons’. If you have social media you can provide links to your blog. Have patience; it can take several years to get a large following and presence! Patient persistence is key to success in the online world.
  • Question
Do I have to share my blog with the world or can I keep it private?
    Community Answer
Yes, you can create a private blog. If you don’t want other people to access your blog, you can create a private blog and only let people you know view it.
