Just a small bug I foundI clicked on ‘Answer a Request’ under ‘Help Us’ and found an article I wanted to write. However on clicking ‘Write’ (to the left of the title) I got to this page: http://www.wikihow.com/Special:CreatePage/Make-an-Aromatic-Candle
which for me looks like this: http://www.wikihow.com/Image:Error-proof.png
(hope that works!) Also another minor bug: ‘I know what to write about’ ‘Get started’ button out of place. This might be useful: https://aboutmybrowser.com/R5qdxILA
This doesn’t seem right. Do others get this too? Hope I’ve given enough info. Thanks!

Yeah, definitely. Looks like the Request app is sending you to an outdated link. This was changed recently, with the “Write an Article” makeover, and it looks like this link didn’t get its fix. Thanks for the heads-up! Scott will take a look
@Anna
I was going to mention this to you, but didn’t get around to talking to you about it or mentioning it here myself. (Thanks @TammySin
for bringing up this bug.)

No worries- Scott will fix it! Sorry we missed it. Are there any other write an article type links that you guys have noticed are out of sorts now? I’ll let him know if so!
@Anna
Thanks. Amazing how quickly stuff gets sorted round here! @Byankno1
No problem. Glad someone else gets this too.

This should be fixed now, @TammySin
and @Byankno1
! If you don’t see the fix right away, try force refreshing, but I just gave it a go, and everything looked ok
Seems to be working now- thanks!
Although that feature seems to be working now, when I open up a new article request, it starts the article in the article creation tool which isn’t my default editor (and is unchecked in my settings). I know about a workaround through the advanced editor and back out after saving as draft, but once I can get it to open in Guided (like the older one used to) I’d feel a bit better. The workaround is time consuming, but I can live with it on occasion, but not always.

Oh interesting. I wasn’t able to repro that Chris - would you mind unchecking and recking the box in your preferences, and seeing if it still goes to the Article Creation tool? Mine is going to Advanced editor but there could always be something browser-specific or similar.
Mine goes to the Article Creation tool too but shows possible duplicates. On clicking ‘None of these are exactly the same as…’ it takes me to the Guided editor.
As soon as I’m able to get Jing and my internet connection to work harmoniously, I’ll try to record a screencast of this problem, but that won’t be until later tonight, I hope.
You’re workaround @Anna
seems to have solved the problem at the moment. However, it was annoying when the article had no other selections in the drop-down box and it would come up directly to the Article Creation tool page instead of my default editor of Guided editor. If I ever see another instance again, I’ll let you know. But for now, this case is closed. I tried several “instances” after running the workaround of unchecking and rechecking the Article Creation tool checkbox in my Preferences.
