Please tell me one good reason that I shouldn’t run away from home. My stepfather wants a letter explaining why I did something that I didn’t even do. He told me on Friday that he was waiting for me to run away and to never come back.
I’m so sorry that you’re going through this. That was a nasty thing for your stepfather to say to you. However, running away is not the solution, although it would be tempting to just get out of there. Could you talk to your mom, aunt, or guidance counsellor about it? Do you journal? Wishing you the best.

Oh, that’s awful! Is there a youth center/drop in place you could go to where you could talk to someone or if not, have you tried hotlines (phone and chat)?

Talk to someone you trust about this. They’ll be able to give you advice about this. Hopefully it will blow over soon?

My mom and stepfather think that I’m stealing things from them and I want to just run away so that they don’t have to worry about me anymore and so that my stepfather stops acting like he’s gonna go back to abusing me.
