By accident, I created an article before I was logged in. How can I make the article my own now that I want to edit it often so I can find it quickly?

You can’t change the owner however what you can do is edit your User Talk page and put a header like ‘Before I joined wikiHow I made this article!’ followed by a link. If you do that you will be able to find it much more quickly.

Articles aren’t owned by anyone.:slight_smile:When you write a new article, you’re credited as the author, but it’s open for other people to collaborate on it. As far as I know, you could probably ask an admin to delete the article and then re-publish it under your registered account. You should probably ask a more experienced admin, like Krystle or Maluniu, though.

lol, in theory…

@Jsb1412 You can save it for quick viewing. Read http://www.wikihow.com/Save/Bookmark-wikiHow-Articles-on-wikiHow for information on helping you get to it quickly.

They are right

jsb… a couple of options are available. 1 - Make an edit to the article. That will add your name to the list of authors at the top. 2 - Contact an admin about the possibility of deleting the original and then letting you repost it while logged in. 3 - Leave it be. I’ve got two articles like that… the first two I wrote on wikiHow… so I feel your pain! But sometimes it’s less trouble and effort just to let it go and start over correctly with the NEXT article. ps. Ping me if you want #2 . I’ll help.
