Is there a way to block users from the forums, and, if so, what is it? I placed a site block
on Bbyrd009
and he was posting in the forums during his block time. However, the block was issued primarily for actions in the forums, so it would be useful to have had a way to block him from the forums as well. Thanks in advance!

A block on wikiHow should also result on a block in the forums. If you or anyone is available via IM or IRC at some point, we can test this live so I can document it & file a bug report.

Update: Travis is working on this; unfortunately we’re waiting on Vanilla for a fix, so that’s why it hasn’t gotten solved as quickly as we would like.

Update: I found a way to hack the forums so that this shouldn’t be an issue anymore. Basically I made it so that anyone who’s blocked can’t even see the forums. When they try to visit the forums, this is what they’ll see:When they type in a URL directly to a certain thread, they still won’t be able to access the forums. They’ll see a message saying they don’t have an email specified in their preferences. Note that if someone who is NOT blocked starts seeing both of these issues, it may be that they were once blocked, and it “stuck” in the forums, so they’ll need to be manually unblocked, which is something I can help with.
