Hey I come across a talk page message during bunch patrol. How it is possible to give thumbs up with a revert. I mean if I am reverting a edit then how can I put thumbs up for this? Or I am sending a “Couch for bad” message saying that I reverted your edits with a thumbs up? Do you all not think that it should be changed? Here is one screenshot. This screenshot form my mobile phone so I can’t give you a full size image.

I’ve definetley done that on accident before, felt pretty stupid. I’d say it’s a good thing to look out for.

Hopefully this can get changed. I gave a warning, and it looked like this: Greetings, and welcome to wikiHow. I noticed that one of your recent edits has not been conducive to the best interests of wikiHow. Unfortunately, people frequently place spam, vandalism, and irrelevant or abusive information on wikiHow. This is lamentable because it detracts from our goal of creating a useful, free how-to manual. You may have done this edit as a test or in error as you were learning how wikiHow works. If so, please stick with us and try to learn how to edit constructively. Take the wikiHow Tour, read our Writer’s Guide and Understand What wikiHow Is Not to learn how you can best contribute here. I would be happy to work with you directly to help you learn your way around wikiHow. Please feel free to contact me by replying to this message or contact an Administrator for help. Thank you! PS I gave a thumbs up for this edit too!

Accidents happen. Believe me. It only happened once (to me), but it did happen.

Hey if you first click on “Basic thanks”, it automatically selects the thumbs up check box. After clicking “Basic thanks”, if you click on “Couch for bad”, then also that thumbs up check box remains as selected. This should be changed by our engineer. Travis, we need your help.

LOL Couch For Bad.:stuck_out_tongue:I think it shouldn’t check thumbs up on Basic Thanks

I see your point here. We shouldn’t accidentally give thumb up for bad-faith edits.

A new user may not notice this thing. The screenshot is from a message which is sent by a new user.

I made this mistake once. . . Good point, we should have some way of preventing this from happening.

Why would one give a thumbs up along with an edit they reverted?
