I’ve tried many different ideas but none have helped much. Any ideas?

@Thebotc Have you tried talking about it with your doctor? I’m not too familiar with treatment for depression, but I’m sure they could refer you to a therapist of offer you medication if you told them about your situation:slight_smile:

@Thebotc , if you don’t mind my asking, is it major depressive disorder, or something more specific like SAD? Does it correlate with any other mental health problems (such as hallucinations or anxiety problems), or do you have any other conditions that may affect your depression? Autism can lead to a reactive depression in some people, and many depression symptoms can be caused by thyroid problems. I don’t mean to pry, but you didn’t give a lot of information that I can work with.

In any case, talk to your doctor,  especially  if you’re engaging in self-injury or having suicidal thoughts or intents. Like Glitter said, they can help you get to a therapist or a psychiatrist that can prescribe medication. I’d encourage not starting immediately with medication if you don’t know if there’s an underlying cause for your depression though (such as thyroid problems).

And just so you know, if you need someone to talk to, I’m here. My email’s connected to my wikiHow account. Don’t be afraid to email me if you need someone to talk with.

Hi,

I hope you feel better. You have been given good advice alreadyy. I would like to add that you can stop thinking about things or working at places where you feel most hurt. If thats not possible, try to stay away from others and spend time by yourself, doing what you enjoy. May be try volunteering? It has helped many to get better if not to recover fully.

Here are some articles for you. I am sure it will make you feel better.
