I do! I prefer the movies to the books. I like to watch them at Christmas whilst eating chocolate. I’ve been to King’s Cross station platform nine and three quarters a couple of times too.,

I haven’t got so far with them but my favourite is and always will be Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone (can’t figure out how to spell). Harry Potter is an example of something amazing that came from us Brits, whom are always overlooked. Just saying:stuck_out_tongue:

I don’t think British literature gets overlooked in the grand scheme of things. If you asked me to name five great writers, my choices would all be British writers. I would hope most of you have heard of some of thses…

Agatha Christie (wrote Murder on the Orient Express, created Poirot etc)
Ian Fleming (created James Bond)
William Shskespere (Romeo and Juliet etc)
Daniel Defoe (Robinson Crusoe, Gulliver’s Travels etc)
Charles Dickens (A Christmas Carol, Little Dortit, Oliver Twist etc)
Charlotte Brontë (Jane Eyre etc)
I don’t think I could think of five American writers so easily. People forget the books were WAY before the movies. The British were writting books before most of Europe knew American existed!
When I’ve finished reading the series of books I’m reading right now, I’m reading the Outlander books, I will revisit Harry Potter in book form and if it grows on me!

Yes. I prefer its books to movies. Reading it while listening to the music mantigames’ Strike Force Heroes is amazing for me. Harry Potter is also my childhood favorite series <3
