We have a huge “ Character Creation
” category (under “Ideas and Inspiration”), and then there’s a “Writing Inspiration” category with a “ Creating Characters for Writing
” subcategory. I was looking for articles about character creation to edit, and I ended up really confused.
I think that our writing fiction categories could use some organization, to remove redundancy and reduce confusion.
Is there anyone who does a lot of work in the writing category? Or anyone who would like to pitch in with ideas?

This area is currently undergoing changes, so there are double-ups until the shifting work is completed. The new categories need to be in place to allow the shifting to occur, while the old categories have to stay in place until the shifting work is completed.
This MO has been explained earlier, it cannot be avoided due to the enormity of changes to get things into good shape. The Writing area is HUGE and a LOT of work has been done to help shift everything into a new, more helpful place. This is getting worked on over the next few weeks, until then please just work with it as best you can, the issues are temporary.
To help: Ideas and Inspiration is going to be deleted, as is Character Creation. Thanks for your patience.
Oh, I see! I didn’t know that this was going on. I get it now. It’s like cleaning your room: you have to make a bigger mess while you organize, and then eventually the end result looks great!
I certainly hope I didn’t make you feel pressured or unheard at all. And let me know if there’s anything I can do to help. It sounds like a huge project and it must be a lot of work.
