I was recently editing an article on wikiHow and after some time the following text started to be replaced by the text I was entering. This has happened with me several times, and I have to retype all my text or refresh the page and redo all my editing. I am the only sufferer or it has happened with you too? You can post a comment below if you have a solution.

@Rishabh-kalra Are you sure you didn’t mistakenly hit the “Insert” key? ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Insert_key ). If it’s happening only on wikiHow (and not elsewhere) for you, a screencast would be helpful:slight_smile:

Might be, Maluniu. I would try it and report back. Thnx fr help!

If you are editing from RC Patrol’s Quick Edit tool: Hitting the Insert key accidentally has caused the Quick Edit tool in RC Patrol to have weird issues, as presented by other wikiHowians in the past. There were times where it would erase a letter after the one that you were typing, so basically, hitting the Insert key locks the tool. You have to hit the key again to unlock it. Silly Quick Edit.

Yes @Maluniu . You were right. I think you have too faced the same problem @McDonalds1

@Rishaba-kalra Not necessarily, but I did read about this problem in the past. I don’t press the Insert key, so I haven’t faced this problem.

I too @McDonalds1 , have’nt pressed the Insert key but I still face the problem.
