I was wondering if it’s possible to display the name of the user that added the tip you are patrolling to the top of the page so that we can see who added it.
I came across 15 unfit tips (Bad language, spam, bullying, etc) in a row and it would be great if there is some kind of way to report the user to an admin.
I don’t think kids want’s to read about a big fat male part as a tip. Just an idea?
I agree on this. I’ve seen bad tips before, like PRACTICE!!! Before. Really irritating.
Totally. I found a couple like *peep* u, this is lame as *peep*, suck my you know what. It’s really unfit and they love to do it, cause they rarely get caught
I support this. It would be much easier for the users that add these bad tips to get caught.
This thread should be moved to Collaboration Corner.
Think we should get the WikiHaus admins to see this.

As far as I know, the reasons we don’t display names here is that most folks don’t have them
Tips are added my mobile users, usually anons on IPs that change often, so there’s not much to identify them by. That’s why we’ve designed this whole sort of funnel for Tips - to make sure that the good ones are filtered from the not so good. New tips are submitted by mobile users, then go to Quality Guardian for filtering, and then to Tips Patrol for editing (or deletion if they got through by mistake), before being added to the article and double-checked in RCP. The goal is that the funnel acts like “panning for gold” in finding the good advice among the rest. So if you see an unfit tip, the best step to take is just to delete it on the spot -that’s the goal of QG, and if you’re doing that with each of these bad tips, then it’s working
That being said, if you don’t enjoy seeing so many iffy tips, there’s no obligation to use the tool - I know it can be trying to see that kind of spam or abuse over and over again!
