To all wikiHowians, I wish you a pleasant new year, while facing multiple challenges along the way (with the pandemic and much more). Enjoy the new year while it lasts, and let this year be a good one, event wise.

Happy new year! 2020 is now coming to a close and 2021 is starting. 2020 is the last year in the second millennium of the 21st century. So we are going to celebrate accomplishments both on and off wikiHow.

January: I finished my college applications. I returned to wikiHow after trying to take a wikibreak to continue writing articles. COVID-19 was just getting started in the US and Italy, and global lockdowns seemed unreal.

February: My birthday. I became a new article booster and gained the ability to promote/demote articles on wikiHow. I also got the ability to rename pages and edit quick summaries.

March: My NAB trial passed. I gained access to voting on NFD articles. Lockdowns started. Continued playing osu! to pass the time.

April: School closures were extended to the end of the academic year. My spring break was mostly playing at home. I spent more time playing cards with my sister and developed a stronger relationship. Chose the university to go to.

May: Graduated high school. Took my AP exams. Got the scores I expected.

June: Played Cytus II. Got to the story end. Was a fun game.

July: Internship stuff. Just to keep the time passing. And got a robot vacuum.

August: Started playing Sdorica, a RPG by the same developer. Pretty underrated. I do not understand why more people won’t play it. It was a pretty epic game. Hesitant to download at first, actually turned out to like it.

September: Started university. Started thinking about my next phone. Got mobile hotspots in case of power outages and for when I am on the road.

October: Started playing Genshin Impact. Also started writing Genshin Impact articles. Uni was going great.

November: Continued grinding Genshin Impact. Unlocked a 5* weapon. Hitting a wall a bit. Studied for exams. Robot vacuum also stopped working. Voted.

December: Final exams. Unlocked Zhongli, a 5* character. Got 2 Rising Stars on wikiHow about travel.

Plus, the numerous wiki scripts I wrote for Wikipedia. So let’s find one or two achievements for each month and discuss it here. Here’s to another great year, and hopefully we can get off of Zoom and into person next year.

Let me make one.

January: Got the awards "High school’s most best behaved student, "High school’s most neat-dressed student, “High school’s most best studying student” and “Grade’s best leader” from my school.

February: Became the school pupil leader, for the 7th time in the previous academic year

March: School closed at around 15th.

April: Started making use of that old laptop which had never been used for 2 years for online classes/homework

May: Had one of the most important exams and also got board exam results around this time- ranked the highest in my country

June: Online school and the new academic year started + joined wH 6 days before online classes

July: I started realizing that I should start living for myself and also give some importance to myself, not running behind studies without doing anything else for 24 hours- this year’s turning point.

August: My birthday. School was ok then. I got a robot vacuum cleaner too, @Awesome_Aasim

September: Watched 2 YouTube channels that turned out to be my favourite ones. Had few exams, on 20th got a new laptop which I was saving for. End of the month was TERRIBLY HORRIBLE.

October: After 7th or so, started running back on studies all day- how can I stop something I’ve been doing all these years? Had a SUPER important exam and I wasn’t prepared for it much, but by god’s grace, it got cancelled.

November: HECTIC. No time to relax or do anything. Tons of super important exams, but scored very well as usual.

December: HECTIC. No time for self care, or even to cook. Thanks to my mom for taking the whole cooking work and all the other works I’ve been doing all these days. No extra time to relax. But still I didn’t let my god belief go away. Was still doing my spiritual things. Got my previous laptop back from service but all data was lost and forgot my password. Created this new account and had fun on the forums. Got my results yesterday, scored full in 3 subjects. 2 marks less on 1 subject, and 1/4 mark less on the other. So I did pretty well but I wish I got full in everything for how much I studied by sacrificing my sleep for more than 2 weeks. Not satisfacted. But it’s fine.

Thanks to god for keeping me safe.

I’m an hour late for my time zone, but happy new year and decade! I hope it’s a great one for you all!

Um… why was my post merged into this one? I know that it is kind of a duplicate, but I posted it in Village Pump as it was more directed for wikiHow.

Oh well, maybe this gets moved into Village Pump and we can share our wikiHow achievements!

Here’s my accomplishments so far in wikiHow:

Jan to (most of) July: wikiHow was off my mind, and things were normal. The pandemic raged on, and lockdowns were proceeded, and I was in a hurry to get Online School off my shoulders. Currently, ICGIL had less than 10,000 contributions and 20,000 patrolled edits.
July 30th: Stumbled back to wikiHow and started to resume where I left off with tagging and patrolling!
August: Nothing happened, it was normalcy for me first.
September: For 4 days, I got to lead the RC Patrol count, and R2 took the role later (which would be the last recent person besides ICGIL), and I got it back. Also, my QG total count sits at 10,000 this month, along with my first barnstar with Brooke giving me one.
October: This month, ICGIL would rampage too many records within this year. On October 7, I reached a rare count in the RC Patrol system with 3,000+ patrolled edits, and EJQuotes (who will be unable to see this post) congratulated me here with a barnstar, and FP555 made me a barnstar for me as well. I also got to manage 10,000+ patrolled edits per month (which is still being held).
November: New records continue. I bypass 50,000 patrolled edits, and I get to return to the Community Widget within a few days. I also then managed to get an impossible level in patrolling, which is 4,000 patrolled edits per week. I also get 10,000 contributions here, 1,000 QG decisions, and I bypassed Seymour Edits (which carried on until wikiHow Projects began to remove categories) for most edits in a month. I also made a Notable WikiHowians page, which is still being updated once a month. Also, Vanna Tran got 2,700+ patrolled edits in one week besides my 3,500+, and I still managed to hold my top spot while I am at it. It’s also my 3rd wikiBirthday, and I barnstarred R2, and Alissa made me a barnstar here.
December: The vacation came. I lost and decreased to 2,000 patrolled edits per week. Beside this, I got lots of articles promoted when this month came in, and I helped more than 5,550,000+ readers who want to get help on something due to my patrolling. I also tried to get the NAB and Welcomer tests here, but this failed altogether. Artsy Koala and ICSIH then proceed to give me a barnstar, and I passed 15,000 contributions before the new year, and I was short of getting 70,000 patrolled edits (which is more than the average booster that isn’t an admin).

Overall:

This year was record breaking on multiple ways, but this should continue. While getting high counts as someone without badges is not something you see every day, it is not a competition, and ICGIL still remains to focus himself into working with the new year and help the mission.
