Got some images up from Saturday. They were just resized and uploaded. Very little tagging has been done. If you go see some images, feel free to do some tagging! http://www.flickr.com/photos/ttrimm/sets/72157629749822986/

So far, I have met @Mash317 , @catspj01 , @Eric , @Loni_lings , and the wikiHow staff!! Looking forward to today!

Thanks for posting these!

It was a pleasure to meet you, Teresa, as well as the other community members. =) Looking forward to your next visit!

Had a great time visiting with everybody. Will post more later…

Had a wonderful time at the Maker’s Faire and I am happy that I was asked to help. Saw many people, some who have heard of wikiHow, while others learned about wikiHow’s mission to provide the world’s most comprehensive how-to manual. I was delighted to meet: Ttrimm DvortyGirl Oliver Eric Jack Krystle I didn’t get the chance to meet Loni but perhaps we will meet some day. Krystle was as nice in person as she’s online. Very warm and caring. Jack was the best. I am so glad that we finally met after spending five years collaborating together online.

Some how a portion of this post was lost…will add more later

Jack: He was as nice in person and I am lucky to know him. Very kind, warm and caring. Krystle: Gave me a hug and made me feel welcome and valued. Thank you Krstyle I am so glad you are at wikiHow and you were at the faire. Trrimm: We shared booth sitting for about five hours. I discovered she is a lovely, warm caring individual. I am so glad we finally met as we’ve shared many NABs together. Now we can claim sharing booth sitting. Eric: A nice young man who has a bright future. Very polite, courteous and caring. Oliver: Bright young man who was very polite and caring. DvortyGirl: I didn’t get to thank her personally for helping me write my very first FA article. She was busy helping a wikiHow visitor do a craft. I am sorry we didn’t get to chat as I was looking forward to finally doing so in person. Did you notice I mentioned the word caring for each person? I guess that’s what makes wikiHow so special. WH cares about their wiki members. WOW! The faire: Lots of people. Reportedly there was 1.25 million people in attendance the first day of the faire. There were 50,000 people waiting to hear Adam Savage (of Mythbuster fame) speak on Sunday. Saw lots of robots, old computers and some art. Was really impressed with some CNC laser cut out sculptures. I am happy to be home where it is quiet. The crowds and the big city were beginning to wear me out. I did enjoy San Mateo’s cool climate and lovely flowers. I couldn’t believe all the flowers and greenery I saw growing. It was beautiful. I enjoyed eating at Mimi’s Cafe to celebrate my birthday (a bit late but in the same month) and I loved visiting Red Robin. Overall, it was a great trip but I am glad to be back home where it is less crowded and quiet. BTW I heard a meadowlark outside of Bakersfield at a rest stop. I love the song of the meadowlark so this pleased me no end.

It was really fun to meet some wikiHowians I had never met. And great to catch up with some folks I’ve now known in person and online for several years. To me meeting the wikiHowians is by far the best part of Maker Faire.:slight_smile:Many thanks to everyone who came: Ttrimm - The die hard! She was here for days and was at the booth the entire time. DvortyGirl - Our creative inspiration for many of the projects we showcased. Oliver (Catspjs01) - A natural salesman. He greeted more visitors to the booth than me by at least 3x. Eric - Quiet, confident at the booth. Sort of like me, but more helpful. Krystle - Our fearless Faire organizer. MA - So nice and friendly. So much fun to meet in person for the first time and also I loved meeting her whole family. Loni_lings - Very nice, as you probably have already figured out Thom - Gathering lots of ideas to spread the wikiHow brand for next year. This was our best Maker Faire ever. A huge thanks to everyone who came in for it!

Sounds like everyone had an awesome time! I’m really excited to meet all the wHowians attending Wikimania!
