I wrote an article about Schizophrenia ( https://www.wikihow.com/Tell-Someone-You-Have-Schizophrenia ) and I was wondering if I could get someone to add pictures to accompany the article? Also, being one myself, I wrote it from my perspective, I would like others to review it to make sure I didn’t leave anything out and make sure it seems fleshed out enough.

Hi! I’ve made a project which can add images(reusing ones already on wikiHow) or, once your article is out of quality review, you can make a wikiVisual request and an artist will design the pictures.

I think the article needs further expansion. It doesn’t really tell you how to tell someone you have schizophrenia, it just gives you an outline and then says to tell them, but telling someone you have a mental illness isn’t really that easy and there’s undoubtedly a lot of myths about schizophrenia that would need to be debunked to the person (e.g. that schizophrenia doesn’t turn people into murderers because a little voice in their head told them to kill someone). Some sources would be a good idea, too.

Am I clear to steal use other pictures from other wikiHow articles? I am doing a major edit right now to address te feedback Alex gave, and I was just gonna do pictures if I can use pictures from other articles.

You can absolutely reuse preexisting images - that’s actually encouraged in cases where the images don’t need to be incredibly precise, and this isn’t a topic that requires that kind of precision. That’d be great:slight_smile:

I made some edits, added some information that Alex suggested (probably not enough but what i do when i tell someone about my schizophrenia) and pulled pictures from a ton of other articles. Anyone wanna look at it? I am trying to put a full article out when it gets boosted, not a skeleton, so don’t be afraid to give feedback and if you wanna edit it, go ahead I don’t mind. Probably has a ton of typing issues

I just looked at it and corrected some spelling mistakes (I think you know that already but still). Hopefully this article will get out of quality review now because I think it is very good. Good luck with future articles you may write.

I saw that, and I thank you for the edit. Thumbs up for you. I usually don’t care either way whether my articles get 1 view or 5000 views (that accomplishment was hit 5 minutes ago) but this article hits closer to home so I am writing it so ti gets a rising star or featured because it is important to me and I want this information to get out. I have no idea why I am trying, but something tells me to go for it.

I also made minor edits. You really put lots of detail and applied the right images, and that’s awesome! Great article!

So the article was written on the 13th, and it seems to be completely written with pictures, weaved web of links, and fleshed out information. If there is anything that could be improved on it, please let me know but I feel like it is in the holding facility for articles to be boosted and it seems like it is staying there.

Are there any citations? I don’t see any in the page, and I’d be a tad hesitant to put this out there without knowing whether this is advice that most professionals and schizophrenics would give.

Oh shoot. I completely forgot to add that. I even compiled them. Thank you for the remind!

and fixed.
