I was doing Tips Patrol today and one of the aspects to adding a tip is to make sure it isn’t a duplicate. I was thinking, because it takes time to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and read all the tips, there could be a tab on the tip editing interface that, when clicked, shows the current tips. I think this will save time and increase productivity.

Great idea! We also need that tool for the Knowledge Guardian - you won’t believe how many anons put the same advice. We need an admin’s permission though!

I agree this would be helpful!

Sounds helpful to me too!

Sounds like a great idea, it can be frustrating having to check through the whole article and tips to make sure that the ‘new’ tip has not already been covered. It seems to me that a lot of new partrollers possibly OK the tip on the basis that it sounds like a good idea to them without reading the article first.

Love it. So long as an admin agrees, it would be great to see this happen.

I can definitely see how this would be useful, and would save some scrolling action! The issue isn’t so much “admin permission” as it is engineering time:slight_smile:– we have so many editing tools and bugs/tasks on the docket, and not enough time and engineers to do them all in the timeframe we’d love. But I did talk to some folks around the wikiHaus about it, and they’re hopeful this could be a good task for one of our summer engineering interns. I added it to the list of possibilities for them, and hopefully it’s something we could see in the future!:slight_smile:

@Anna Sounds good!
