I’m no fan of IRC, personally. However, I find it helpful in communicating and having fun. #wikiHow
’s IRC Channel has been freaking out all weekend. I don’t know what the cause is, it might be nothing, but all of the bouncers and such have been leaving including ChanServ. It has happened to me over the weekend aswell, my connection has been lost to the channel, along with others simultaneously. http://www.screencast.com/t/hYwZYQ7XcA1
Seeming IRC is not really a part of wikiHow and it’s only a relay-chat server, the problem might not be on your side. Either way, I thought i’d give a quick heads up about it. -Tom

Yeah, we don’t run anything to do with IRC from our side of things - we just use it as a community place to “gather.” Sorry it’s been a pain! There isn’t really anything we can do from our end

I’m suspecting the cause is on Freenode’s side. Any netsplits or similar mishaps are on their side of things. There’s nothing wrong with you, your connection, nor wikiHow itself.
