Things are getting pretty stormy on Recent Changes Patrol, as we’re currently at over 1,000 unpatrolled edits. Help would be awesome. Let’s get this down to 0. http://www.wikihow.com/Special:RCPatrol
Lol’d at title. Returned to seriousness when I read it. Why are there so many unpatrolled edits? I have been doing lots of patrolling lately because the numbers were high, but apparently they aren’t going down. I don’t blame the patrollers (usual crowd is there), but how are edits coming in so fast?

^ Just this morning there were only 500 or so, maybe someone had to undo a whole bunch of patrols.
I’ll bet becuase we hit an all-time high for total users on wikiHow at the same time, over 10,000. When I first saw the patrolling was huge, I didn’t worry to much. It’s not uncommon to see high numbers because of mass incorrect patrolling. But around the third day, I was starting to freak out because there was no thread on forums on why it is so high. Then I saw the thread on the 10,000 users at once and put two and two together.
^ I’d assumed as much. It would be nice if newer users were aware that their edits do make a difference.
