As everybody knows, I love nails. I saw a thread that was like this, but it got closed because of under-usage (is that a word? Any grammar nazis?). So I thought I would start this up again. Basically, if you know any tips about nail art, nail care, etc., please post them here so others can see. I will start: To make your polish last longer, keep the bottles upright so no nail polish can stick to the sides of the bottle. A nail art striper is not a misspelled word sussoped to be stripper. A striper is a fine nail art brush that is used for deigns requiring thin stripes. If you need to gro out your nails, get plenty of vitamam D and C, and exercise a lot, because your nails could grow up to three inches in one month! If you want a perfect French manicure, take some scotch tape and cover all of your nail except the tip. Then paint your nail white (or whatever color you are using) and let dry. Then, peel off the tape and ta-da! You have a perfect French manicure!

Help me!!! I was in the lobby finishing my breakfast and threw away my trash to go up to my room, and my nail hit the trash cat and it broke!!! It was pretty long (Not creepy long, long as if you would get fake nails - But mine was real!) It was my thumb nail and I’m getting my nails done for a play this weekend, kind of wanted them to be all one length, any advice? I’ve got until Thursday. :’( June Days

That poor trash cat! :3 More practical advice would be to trim each of your nails until they are the same length, but that would likely be shorter than your preferences. Perhaps you could apply a fake onto your thumbnail and try to make it look like your other ones, or something? I can’t think of anything else - not my area of expertise.

^lol

Trim the other ones a tiny it, not so there the same legnth, just so they are near the legnth of the thumb. As long as they are similar lengths, you’ll be fine and can’t notice. Your nail should grow a tiny bit by thursday. Unless your nails were major long, it’s not an issue or truly that noticeable.

Hmmm… try eating as many of those vitamin C and D tablets every day, and eat things like yogurt and fruit that are high in calcium. Which finger did you break? The middle, pinkie and ring finger grow fastest (especially the middle), while the index and thumb grow slower. Also, try massaging your nail for about 10-20 seconds. This seems silly, but it actually really helps. Or every day, put on one top or base coat in the morning, one in the afternoon, and once in the evening. If you type alot or just drum your fingernails on your desk, that will really stimulate nail growth, and try dipping your hand in vinegar and warm milk ( not mixed) for each day. Or simply just leave them alone and let your body do the growing. Hope this helped!

Tanks. It’s my thumb nail… At the hotel I’m at, they serve fruit.:slight_smile:So, how much could the nail grow if I massage, put on the nail polish, drum them on the desk in four days? (The rest of my nails are about 1/4 of an inch. June Days

Hmm, lets say about 1/2-1/4of an inch, maybe more if you are lucky.
