Per my previous discussion
, I’ve created a new coaching template. To summarize, when an author writes a new article that’s read like a request for help rather than an actual how-to, this template will explain both why it’s being NFD and how to properly request an article. The template is here: Template:Articlerequest
. I’m looking for offical community approval (not sure how much, though) to be able to put this into effect. Any collaborative edits and suggestions are appreciated. I also wasn’t sure about “Articlerequest” being the name; any suggestions? Thanks!
Looks good to me, but ‘Remember to phrase it in a “how to” form.’ This needs clarifying.
Looks pretty good, I agree with Lewis. June Days

We can probably do without this bit, since the request page itself makes it at least somewhat obvious: Requested Topics - wikiHow
It’s also covered in How to Request a New Article Topic Be Written on wikiHow: 9 Steps
which is linked to from the template as well. Overall, though, I like this idea. I see people doing this regularly in NAB and it would be nice to have a template that would guide them in the right direction.
Okay, I removed that part - people can just read that article for more information. How is it now? @Krystle

Looks good! With the support expressed in the other thread as well as this one, and the lack of objections, I’m going to call this consensus and start using it
