I counted 7 different wH articles on online image/photo editor topic and they WERE miscategorized. My newest article today is categorized into the "Image usage"category which is really incorrect. Anything associated with ‘online image editing’, or ‘photo editing’ truly require their very own categories. Here is my latest article which is “screaming” for the “photo editor” category. http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Mosaic-Game-with-Imagic-5-Photo-Editor I have another article in mind to start that clearly will be “screaming” for the “online image editor” category.:slight_smile:If all these 7 articles were re-categorized into the newly created ones they would be easier to search for and find.

I can see the use for Online Editors as a category, but the others need their own category as far as software goes. Now maybe, a non specific article on photo editing would be good for that particular category.

the one you mention above @Laura7491 would have its own category of iMagic 5 (or it will/should)

@Laura7491 Onlinebased editing itself does not require any downloads/installations; all the editing is done online. It’s doable for a category as such, if provided 5 current article links. The article that you have created is software-specific, which is what majority of the Graphics category is:wink:

Maluniu I understand your point. But the photo editors especially those “paid” (not freebie) DO require an installation. Actually why it matters that online editor does not require an installation? We are talking about what helps a user to find it faster.:wink:Well, the photo editors could be a sub-category for “software” you mentioned.

the problem with that is that photo editing software is, quite often, used for other things as well as editing photos. At least, some of them are.

Yes, like mine in the article, for playing puzzle games. So, how should I categorize my future article on “online animated image editor”? as Graphics??

I am sorry about not posting a list of those 7 articles I mentioned. So I am correcting my mistake now. The article shown by arrow also involves a photo editor software to accomplish a task. (I hope this works) https://app.box.com/s/5r8shi735e4h20l04dfs Actually there are more than 7 articles on ‘photo editor topic’. I could not read all of them. This is just to give you an idea. Here is one more page as a result of my search: https://app.box.com/s/2tbbggl7nu2es0hqt5e3 The 5 different photo editors are listed on the first 2 pages, and mine - Imagic 5 is the 6th (didn’t get into the list, perhaps needs a different key word to search by). Here is a short list of the photo editors listed on the first 2 pages (I am sure there are more out there): Pho.to, Picnik, Photoscape, Snapheal, Pixlr, Imagic 5 .

The “Graphics” category is actually meant for any photo editing, photo editing software, etc. If it’s relevant to any graphic or image on the computer, that’s what the Graphics category is there for. If it’s an image concerning physical images or images that derives from cameras, it belongs in the Photography category.

OK, Maluniu. In this case my last article should be categorized to “Graphics”. I will know it the next time. May I ask you for a favor to re-categorize my article to Graphics? http://www.wikihow.com/Create-a-Mosaic-Game-with-Imagic-5-Photo-Editor I don’t know how to do it MANUALLY since I did not see the “Edit Category” option when I was editing. What about the online animated image editor article? Also belongs to Graphics category? I have something in mind for the next article.

@Laura7491 Yes, all articles can be placed in [[Category]]. If there’s five or more articles pertaining to a specific software, such as http://www.stoik.com/products/photo/STOIK-Imagic/ , just post a thread with five articles relating to the software, so it can have its own sub-category in ‘Graphics’
