I am a veteran Pokemon player, been playing since it was still new, basically been playing since the beginning and know all their names, stats and types by heart! But I ain’t one of those grumpy genwunners who always say “they are running out of ideas”… no they aren’t running out of ideas, they just keep coming up with terrible ideas for designing Pokemon.
Who remembers Lickitung and Jynx? Their designs are awful. Gen 5 also has a Pokemon literally based on ice cream. And Garbador… who is literally a pile of thrash lol
I know almost all of their abilities as well, almost… I play Pokemon Showdown whenever I have the spare time for it. Pokemon Showdown is a site created by Smogon (everyone who knows Pokemon should know who they are) where you can chat, battle LIVE opponents and get tips from everyone else on team building, strategies, items, etc. It’s great! They have regular tournaments as well
Every kind of battle format is there… Battle Spot, Monotype, Random Battles, all of them! And some past gen formats as well for those who like it old school :)
But if you want to ask me for advice, go ahead. I will try my best to make things simple and easy for all you beginners out there
Have you played any of the Alola based games? I developed a really easy way to get all of the eeveelutions if you need any help bro
and yeah… I do agree that a lot of gen 5 sucked
I’ve only played the Kalos region and the Alola region and finished it. I’m still working on my game of Platinum. And Pokemon Platinum is Generation IV, so I don’t think I’ll get help from here, because this thread is for Pokemon Black and White and up.

i have played Sun and Moon, as well as Ultra sun and moon
i know all about the Alola games and Pokemon… as I told you, I am a veteran. Played every main game, from Gen 1 all the way to now gen 7 (gen 8 is on its way) but I have sorta retired from playing the 3ds games. Mainly cuz I am too busy with other stuff to play anymore, I still play showdown from time to time whenever I have the free time. But i will still help anyone out with the main games
Do you have a Giratina at level 100? because thats what I consider a completed game

Yes I did on Pokemon Platinum but reaching level 100 isn’t the main goal… you have to catch all Pokemon and complete the dex, I almost did that… the only 2 Pokemon I couldn’t get were Phione and Manaphy, those you could only via Pokemon Ranger and I could never get that game in time. Oh well… i did my best
I did manage to complete the full pokedex on my Black 2 game, I got manaphy and phione from the GTS and transfered all my other pokemon from platinum and heartgold to there. All I had to do was catch all the Unova ones
Then bingo! Full National Dex! The reward for completing the national and unova dex is the Shiny Charm, all experienced Pokemon players know what this is… an item that increases the chances of finding shinies. Only one exists and this is the only way to get it legit, many prefer to get it by cheating or hacking the game…but I got it the legal way without doing that!

but honestly, when it come down to it, are you gonna want a team of shiny magikarps and caterpies or a team of lvl 100 legends?

but yeah, doing the whole pokedex is a really fun way to flex. I entirely finished my omega ruby pokedex without using pokemon bank or any of that stuff. (although quite a lot of GTS and wonder trade was used…

hello my name is noah and i have played Pokémon Black. My friend gave it to me and I realized that he had completed the game. I have nothing left to do, so are there any glitches that I can activate after completing it?

No glitches, they screw up your game and can even corrupt the game and force you to restart everything.
Just try your best to get shinies
you can restart the game by hitting up+B+X at the same time. this will entirely reset your stuff though, so be prepared
but there is a really cool glitch (at least in black/white 2) where you can surf in a tree and walk through a cliff face

We don’t need to close every thread that’s bumped if it’s still a viable topic. General Chat tends to be more relaxed about thread-bumping as long as it’s not disruptive or spammy

It was a little spammy there but the rule of bumping old threads still applies here… it’s 2 months since the last post, usually 8 weeks is the limit but I think we can continue here
Pokemon Sword and Shield is the newest generation, I am still learning about all the pokemon, stats, etc. Dynamaxing is a bit overpowered in my opinion but there are ways to overcome this. I don’t have a Switch yet so I can’t play the game… which sucks, but they are all on Pokemon showdown so I don’t need play
