Just a quick note to keep everyone in the loop: In the past, when new editors have been trying out for the editing fellow program, we’ve had them create separate accounts and dive in. But this gets hard to keep track of and has led to some community confusion in the past, so instead we’ve made a new account just for these folks to use when they’re in editing fellow trials. Any edits you see made from “Seymour Edits” will be fellows in testing/training - of course, treat them like any other edits you see in RC, and rest assured that they will all also be reviewed by John or someone else at the wikiHaus. If, after their trial, a new fellow joins the team properly, they will then create their own new account at that point, instead. Here’s the account: http://www.wikihow.com/User:Seymour-Edits

Cute name! By the way, I really don’t understand what this wikiHow Fellows thing is all about. Can someone direct me to a post about it, or something? This all came into being during my long absence.

@knowitsome
In a nutshell, the program aims to make bold edits to articles and test various ways of editing to see what makes readers decide to stick around and read a wikiHow article. Feel free to drop me an email for more details! The search function on these forums isn’t so great, but here’s a post I dug up: http://forums.wikihow.com/discussion/5553
Thanks @Krystle
. That gives me a pretty good idea what it’s all about.
