I’m pretty sure this is low priority, but I noticed that the edit preview section of Recent Changes often enlarges over the righthand toolbar while patrolling (see image):

I’ve encountered this same problem on Firefox 5/ubuntu. Haven’t checked Chrome.

Me too. Safari.

Found this on Opera 11.50 before o.O

Hey All - I’m an engineer here at wikiHow and was wondering if you could post a diff along with the specific OS, browser and version number when it happens next. I’ll try to get to the bottom of it.

Also, if you can give me an idea of how long this has been happening, that would be helpful too

@Jordansmall this is the link of the diff of the screenshot Jordan has post http://www.wikihow.com/index.php?title=Make-a-Flemish-Carbonnade&diff=6501290&oldid=6499633 I have it on Windows 7 with the latest version on Chrome, this is the first time I actually see it so I think the bug is pretty recently.

That diff displays ok to me. IE7.0, Windows XP Pro.

The diff is okay with me on Windows 7, FF 5.

Correct me if I’m wrong but I think this issue only occurs with the actual RC Patrol tool (on the community dashboard) and not in the regular view of the diff, nor when patrolling using the traditional mediawiki special:recentchanges page. When I used the RC Patrol app a few times I had this issue, but ever since I began using the traditional way of patrolling through recent changes I don’t recall ever having this issue again… I don’t believe. I’m on windows 7, using both firefox 4.0.1 and firefox 5.

Same here. It shows up normally on the “old” Recent Changes page, but not through the RC Patrol tool (where I encountered this yesterday). Using Windows 7, Chrome (latest version).

Is it possible that this is caused by the long URL in the copyvio template? If you see this happening often can you confirm this pattern? @SudoKing @Cece123 @Readingirl The next time you see this can you take a screenshot and post it here?

That’s one I saw earlier today…

Thanks for the help everyone. I made a change which appears to fix the problems described above. Please let me know if you still see this issue going forward.

BTW I looked that diff up in the history of the article so it wasn’t in the RC patroll.

Something similar is happening:stuck_out_tongue:
