It appears that an “old” problem is resurfacing. I saw a thread on this from several years back.

I’m getting a little green box in the lower right of my screen saying that an error occurred in Recent Changes patrol, and suggesting I reload the page.

I reload… but it doesn’t resolve the issue and I’m unable to patrol further at that point. (can come back in a few hours… but will get stuck again after 50 or so patrols.

The oher day - last weekend- i got the same . I never said anything. I thought it was a one off. Because as soon as i clicked it, it surfaced the way you said then that dialog box went away and hasn’t reappeared. I thought it was some testing tools in use. But it too, wouldn’t allow me to patrol for several hours, so i switched to traditional patrolling and was fine after that.

I’ve noticed this as well. I’m not sure if it’s somehow the cause or whether it’s just coincidental, but it looks like patrol coach slightly overzealously unpatrolled a user and unpatrolled some of their image uploads which (I at least) can’t patrol in RCP, traditionally, or using &action=markpatrolled. I wonder if that might be causing the error as when I reach these uploads in the RC queue, it sometimes produces a ‘bad title’ error?

Here’s what I’m seeing… Note in lower left. After it pops up, I can’t patrol past that particular difference.

@GB742 , the bad title error occurs whenever a deleted image get unpatrolled by patrol coach. There is no way to patrol it, but it will be removed from the RCPatrol list after 90 days.

I don’t know if this is related to the RCP app error though, but if I had to guess, I would say that it is.

Yep, this error happens when RC patrol is having trouble bringing up the next article in line - so I would say it’s all related to the images stuck in RC Patrol at the moment:frowning:

Any ideas of how to clear those images? Is that something we can do from this end? Or does the wikiHaus have to manage that for us?

I’m checking in with engineering, so fingers crossed. Unfortunately it’s not something we can do. But fair warning that sometimes previously when this has happened, the 90 day limit comes around before a fix happens…!

These have been removed from RC patrol so we should be good to go again. The underlying bug hasn’t been addressed yet, but at least they are cleared for now:slight_smile:
