I know most of you don’t know me, but I’m posting this anyway.

I’m feeling really depressed and no one in my family understands and I don’t know where else to go that my parents don’t monitor.

I just need some emotional support right now…

I’m here for you!

It is very frustrating when your parents don’t understand your feelings. Just know that we’re here for you.

If there’s anything I can do for you… just let me know:slight_smile:

While I understand and empathize (I’ve been there myself), wikiHow isn’t the right avenue for support for these kinds of topics. We’re not trained professionals, and we can’t offer you the support you need. You need to get support through real-life avenues. Parents, school officials, and trained professionals (like therapists or psychologists) are your best bet for issues like this, even if it seems like nobody understands.

Please take a look at How to  Deal with Depression  and search wikiHow for any articles that might get you through how you feel right now.

I’m going to close this thread to avoid any potentially inappropriate guidance, but just know you will get through this and you’re not alone. Even though it doesn’t feel like it right now, you won’t feel like this forever. Just focus on getting through things one day at a time and taking care of yourself.
