I have received two spam emails from the email user feature from user Onlinejackpotaward. Is anyone else receiving these? What is the right form of action? I’ve posted a message on Onlinejackpotaward’s talk page, but I wanted to know if it was a widespread issue. Here is a copy of the emails: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4n_4OhB3C94dlZiVWlvT21wOXM/edit?usp=sharing I find it hard to believe that this could not be spam. I also think this may be why wikiHow emails have been going to spam for some users. ( http://forums.wikihow.com/discussion/comment/373590 )

I received them as well. Obviously spam. The best course of action would be to report them to the Administrator Notice Board for sending spam e-mails to users, which I’m about to do.

Yes, it’s spam. I’ve just given that account a block which prevents them from sending emails. Thanks for the report on the ANB, too, @Lugia2453 !

The best and fastest course of action is to forward a copy to support@wikiHow.com or directly to chris@wikiHow.com , he can block them immediately and take any other action needed, and generally is available. The admin notice board is appropriate, but without an actual copy of the message, you need to make clear the type of communication does violate policy so an admin can take appropriate action as well.

Thumbs-up to BR’s comment - definitely the quickest way to go. You can also forward to me, if you’d like. In this case, I checked that this is the only account that particular spammer is operating through (and it was). Sorry you got spammed - such a shame when folks misuse the email system! Luckily a swift and permanent blocking system is available, so he won’t keep getting at other folks.
