If you look at this link, about 50 of those deletions were after midnight my time…basically that is 12 hours worth of deletions. That is about as hard hit as I have seen us. Wow. Can you let me know if this keeps going? If this keeps happening you capture username and send to checkuser@wikiHow dot com so we can investigate the IPs and potentially range block. Nice way to blast them out quickly last night. Right on Teresa!

If you periodically check my deletion log, you can see their name, a site, if there is one, and spam. That way they can be tracked later or by a search.

Good job @Ttrimm . When I’ve been patrolling, several anoynes added very odd things to random articles.

Just to make sure that the new admins know. I have come to this method of dealing with this issue by working with krystle. I don’t want anyone to do any wholesale deletion without experience.

What @KernelPone means is that we have started a ‘system’ of working together. When I am boosting, I don’t like to stop and block and blacklist. so, I keep boosting and he watches my deletion log and acts accordingly. If necessary, he checks with me.

Ugg. @Ttrimm do you think it is automated? Or could it be humans ? It can be hard to tell, but if it comed in at multiple articles a minute, it’s probably automated.

Also are they using the HTML5 editor / visual editor? If they are it will mention that in the edit summary.
