I recently saw June Days do this. And I wanted to do the same. I want to change my userpages to make it look a little less childish, but I am not sure what I should do. Sorry if this seems like a useless thread, but can anyone give me suggestions?
Here’s the ISMKW solution (and you do not have to follow all of the steps for it to work): 1. Remove question of the day and FAC vote pop-ups. If you want to advertise them, move the information in them somewhere else on your userpage. 2. Make the top banner more pale. 3. Remove the border to the page background. At the very least, make it grayscale. 4. Make the page background any color, but pale. Best yet, remove it entirely as well. 5. Minimize random stuff, and have a little less color. 6. Take “Templates I Made” and add the scroll feature you used with “My UIB’s” 7. Move some stuff to a sandbox, and link to said sandbox.

What you should do: 1. Take out the Topbar, the Question of the Day, and the FAC floaties. :> 2. Take out all of the templates on your userpage except your friends list. :} 3. Change the color of your userpage. For instance, if you don’t want black and white, try a pastel color for the background and the darker color as the text (and the boarder, if you want one ;). I can show you what I mean, if I’m confusing4. Put all of your UIB’s in a scrolling box. (Like what you have at the bottom of your userpage5. As cute as they are, take out the penguin and the rose. =) 6. Get rid of the “I am a Page Designer”, “News”, “Nail Art Project”, “Nail Art Suggestions”, Other Sites I’m on", “Quotes”, “Random Cool Stuff”, “FAQ’s”, “My Articles” (because you already have a list of your articles in your profile :), “More About Me”, and of course, the Table of Contents. If you want, I can design your page to give you an idea on how it can look like, while being professional and informative at the same timeJust my two cents.

Try getting some different colors!Add templates that say that you don’t smoke and are against racism. Try adding the template that says songs on your iPod, and name some non-childish songs. Try including some interests that are grown up like your fave subjects, and if you want, avoid things that you are interested in like kid shows. Even though I am and I am proud, LOL. Hope this helped lots! <3

Hmm…For your talk page…Avoid bright colors. Like your background color now (It still hurt my eyes)…I added a border to my talk page and I think my talk page looks perfect now. However, if you still want to have a full design, choose light blue/light colors, dark font and a border with a color you want…Also, remove the {{Cipher_nemo/talk_reminder}}. It makes hard for someone to leave you a message

Hmm, I think everything would look more a bit more coordinated if all the headers were either black, or a solid color that goes well with the green (the purple doesn’t look too bad).
