The Teaching Children Skills category is HUGE!  http://www.wikihow.com/Category:Teaching-Children-Skills  So I came up with a few subcategories that could break it down a little and make articles easier to find.

Teaching Children to Do Chores

(I honestly can’t come up with a better name. Ideas?)

I could see this category potentially housing subcategories about writing and reading.

Teaching Children Self Care

(The chores category could potentially be a subcategory of this.)

I’ll stop here so that your fingers don’t fall off from scrolling too much. What do you all think? Do you have any better name suggestions?

How about Chore Teaching, Academic Teaching, and Children Self Care?

Teach children to work
Teach a child to help out at home
Make a child hardworking
Make children do some work
Make children help at Household chores
Teach children to be independent (At Home) (I liked the word independent)
Make your child self-dependent
Teach children to do small tasks
Make your child responsible
Teach the child to do their duties
Have your child do routine work (At Home)
Acquaint your child to do their work
Teach your child to be busy at home
Train a child to be on their own
I can give a few more suggestions if its not too much!:slight_smile:Thanks.

I like Teaching Children to Do Chores. I think it’s descriptive, concise, and accurate.

@MissLunaRose

For the “Teaching Children to Do Chores”, can it be changed to “Chores for Children”? The article, “How to Let Your Toddler Help in the Kitchen” can be left in the “Teaching Children Skills”. The “How to Make Grocery Shopping Fun for Kids” can be left there as well, since I’m not seeing it as a “chore”, per se.

For the “Teaching Children Self Care”, the “How to Talk to Your Teen About Drugs” can be moved to the “Raising Teens” category instead… there’s nothing “self care” about it. I would also have the two (Chores and Self Care) suggestions separated, rather than having one being a sub of the other.

@Maluniu Sure! You understand categories better than I do.

My only question is whether the “chores for children” would then be interpreted as including articles for youth regarding how to do the chores (e.g. a “how to wash the dishes (kids)” article).
