I think it would be a good idea if we could send thumbs ups to editors during QC for pictures and videos. What do you guys think?

I’ve thought about that, although I don’t use the tool as much. These edits also go through RC, though, too (right? I think they do), so they can get thumbs-ups in there.

I think it’s a pretty good idea, if they put in a good picture. P.S. It’s QG for Quality Guardian. I get that confused sometimes too.

Yes, they go through RC also.:wink:I guess it would be kind of weird to be getting thumbs-up from two places.:stuck_out_tongue:

Alright, I thought so.

http://www.wikihow.com/Special:QC http://www.wikihow.com/Special: QC @AndrewG1999 , It’s QC, not QG.

You can call it both ways.

What if once thumbs up got sent to the editor, no one else could. So if someone from RC gave a thumbs up for a picture, the people from QC couldn’t anymore for that particular edit. Because there have been some particularly good pictures I wanted to give thumbs ups for before in QC.

Not a bad idea!

That could happen. However, if you’re both on the same image, on QC or QG and on RC (Recent Changes), then you could give the same thumbs-up for the same edit. This is pretty rare, but it could happen. You can give thumbs up for pictures/videos in RC. So, for thumbs-up, I suggest RC. Basically, the same edits go through the RC, and QC or QG.

I like this idea. I don’t have a problem with people getting two thumbs up for the same edit.

I see a thumbs up option was added to QC.
