Perhaps there should be a quick edit button, or is there one already? I feel like it will make things a lot quicker. Also, maybe we can ask content managers to help out if they can? I know they’re busy, so just a suggestion.
I appreciate your enthusiasm, but this is one of the many areas where we can and should take it slow. This feature is largely experimental like @JayneG
said a while back, and it may be entirely removed. One problem that we have had is that in Tips Patrol, tips would be approved and would immediately be rolled back by an RC patroller because of how unhelpful the tip is.
It is difficult to maintain quality when you rush. Regardless on whatever the “weather” is, the backlog can be handled very easily. This is not the first time we have seen high numbers, nor will this be our last.
I am saying this largely from experience: when I was getting started as a new editor, I would tend to rush RC patrol, which meant my ability to patrol new changes was temporarily disabled. Going too fast is one easy way to accidentally be disruptive to the project.
