Another thing I’ve also been noticing is this in articles, especially tips: For example: Clean the room BEFORE you go outside. Instead of using caps (which sounds like you’re yelling at the reader), use bold. In fact, you should really neveruse CAPS in articles. Clean the room beforeyou go outside. However, remember to use bold sparingly.
Yeah, completely agree. Remember to change this if you see it in RC guys
By the way, you might want to use italics too: http://www.wikihow.com/Use-Italics
Also, leave a friendly note to the editor if it’s a regular thing with them. Don’t be mean, they probably just don’t know how bold works

CAPS IS A MUCH BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO ANYTHING.

It’s ARE… BOLD AND
CAPS ARE=P
Have been editing some of those articles in NAB. They use caps instead of bold, and I change all the words in caps to words in bold. Or maybe italics ~
I agree with one small difference. Instead of putting what used to be in ALL CAPS in bold, it’s best to put it in italics
. Bolding should be used when you want the reader to skim. Notice we bold the first sentence of every step to make it skimmable. Italics should be used to add emphasis.
But I think if there’s something extremely hazadous and dangerous to life then we may use CAPS

Mmm… does it really matter? Well I think it does because if words are in caps they can ummm… you know become abbreviations like USA or GTG.
Yes yes, but we’re talking about CAPS and boldwhen we want to add emphasis.
@Icicle990
We tend not to use caps because it looks like you’re shouting at the reader. Also it looks quite scruffy in my opinion. Italics look cleaner.
Also, whenever you remove caps from an article, (to echo what @Krazycommando
said) I suggest you leave a note for the author like this: “Thanks for writing a new article on wikiHow! I just wanted to let you know that I replaced the words in ALL CAPS with words in italics. The reason why we do this is because when we use ALL CAPS, it sounds like we’re shouting at the reader. I’m sure you understand!”

I believe there’s a template for CAPS writers: {{caps}}.
