I was just accepted today to become a Admin Canidiate so I was wondering when they announce the Admins.

Generally, this process can last from a few days to a few weeks, as it can take time for admins to reach a consensus on who should be an admin …says the article on becoming an admin. I don’t think there’s a set date. Good luck!

OK, well that works too!

I think it is announced in around two weeks. I’m excited too:slight_smile:

I’m going to run in September (yes, I know, adminship isn’t a trophy). Even though I’ll get no votes (I’m not as edity and useful as other people).

@JKL1234 , That’s not true. If no one come up with any ideas for wikiHow, this site would be pretty boring. I say you’re being very helpful!

@AndrewG1999 Ha! I hate to edit articles. You have to do at least 1000 to be an admin. I don’t think I’ll go past 500. Editing is boring.

@JKL1234 , you can get nominated by an admin for adminship if they think your ready. They can nominate you even if you don’t meet the requirements. Just remember that adminship isn’t a trophy.

Well, you don’t think it’s that boring. You’ve started 16 articles, have made over 600 article edits and patrolled over 2,500 articles. That’s in just 2 months while enjoying yourself. Another election cycle or two and I’m sure we’ll see the requirements met and get a good feel for your community interaction.

The process can take up to a few weeks, depending how many candidates there are.

Really I made about 400 edits and the rest is other stuff. And I edited on wikiHow since before wikiHow had 100 articles. And I written about 114 articles before JKL1234. 2 are FAs and a LOT got deleted.:stuck_out_tongue:

Hey, According to our schedule, new administrators will be announced on June 24th. This date is subject to change though. Good luck to all our fine candidates!
