Silently, slowly the night crept on,
As I stood over the deep abyss
Soon the battle was over and won
The light was gone, a thing I did not miss.
A feeling slowly crept over me,
Something was riding over the sea
Towards the shore upon which I stood
I knew the Something would,
Approach me in the dark stillness
I could not run, it was as if I had an illness.
Something rushed by me and sank,
Into the abyss, into the dank.
A feeling rather than a voice,
Reached into my heart, I had no choice.
It whispered, It commanded,
A silent wish, It demanded.
I gasped, and summoning all my strength,
I ran from that abyss and all the evil it commandeth.
