I’ve noticed that occasionally (like last night) the amount of unpatrolled edits suddenly jumps by the hundreds, and then the edits I’m patrolling are suddenly from days ago. I did a huge amount last night that were edits from 4 days ago. I was just wondering why this happens.

Usually if there’s a big jump it’s because we find a patroller who lets quite a few bad edits through, so their patrols are undone and put back in the patrol queue.

Hey, yeah, that was me. I was reviewing the patrol log from over the weekend and found one patroller who’d let a lot of vandalism slip through and had patrolled 400 edits, so I undid the patrols, that way they can be reviewed again by more experienced patrollers. Sometimes I announce this in the forums, if it’s an especially big number like 700+ but sometimes I forget. Sorry for the confusion
