Hi all! (= So, I’ve recently taken over the wikiHow Herald (Mua-ha-haha-ha…Err…XD) and have been trying to think of new ways to do the Herald. What to write, how to write, comics, contests, things like that. One thing, is that I’m wanting to give everyone a chance to write for the Herald, that wants to write. I have four articles each month, one taken up by the comic (seen on another thread, here ), and three others. So, what I’ve decided to do is set up a page you all can put your name if you want to write for the Herald. I’ll pick all of you at some point; this is so everyone who *wants* to write for the Herald gets a chance to. http://www.wikihow.com/wikiHow:Herald/Writers This will be a main thread, hopefully being bumped up with new things and ideas for the Herald. If you have any ideas for something we could do, post here or e-mail me ( junewikihow@Yahoo.com ) and I’ll see what we can do. Thank you al! (= June Days

As always, I offer my services as a writer. Added my name to the list:slight_smile:

Oh cool, I’ll join in. I would have already tried to write something 'cept I can’t think of anything… Hmm

I have an idea…we set it up so that it is easy to understand even for a new person, and then have the issues…whenever someone wrote them.

I support this idea. I dont know the easy factor for instituting this change would be, however.

Wait what now? Sorry, not really understanding… June Days

Just something that I thought of…nothing to do with what you are doing June. Sorry for the confusion.

How about we allow everyone and anyone to submit an article at any time to June about any wikiHow related subject and she chooses the best ones? Much more simpler:smiley:

Well…That has a few bumps; unfortunately. Submitting any article, then a lot of people could do the same subject, and if their work isn’t good enough, then it’d get rejected. Also, I have different articles, and specific things I want people to write about. I give complete creativity…However, I’d like to give them a little “outline” on what about. (one big article; two misc. articles and a comic; etc. every so often) I think it’d be easier if I just chose specific people, each month, making sure everyone got a chance - If that makes sense. (= But, as I’m new to this, and SK has done this *much* longer than I, I’d like to have his opinion. (= @SudoKing June Days

From what I’ve gathered… your problem may be finding enough material… rather than having to reject any surplus or duplicate. But … lol… don’t let my cynicism dampen your ebullience!

Haha. Oh, and Lois? Can you do another Herald comic? I think the people really liked the last issue’s! XD June Days

Lemme think about it… Coming up with an idea that I can actually sketch is not always as simple as it sounds!

Bump. Need writers for April 2013. (= Sign up on that page and I’ll get in contact with you. (= June Days

Awesome, I’ll sign up. Thanks!

I’m game.

If i had more time this monty, id sign up. But time spent at work, tends to make time spent away a little hairy. I cant this month, but let me know in May.

Bump! The herald was published yesterday, hope you guys like it! OK. So, if you guys would like to, for the next few months, I may do some interviews. Take the following questions, answer them, and send me an e-mail. Anyone can do it; I’m picking whose is going on though. (: Question 1: Introduction. What you like to do most on wikiHow, how you found wikiHow, etc…Question 2: Your experience on wikiHow so far. What you like, don’t like, what you think could be changed for the better of wikiHow, etc.Question 3: Ideas on how you think wikiHow could get more traffic?Question 4: Any tools that could be added -Just a brainstorm.Question 5: Anything you’d like to addJune Days

Sorry about that lol I looked at my article and got pretty surprised when I noticed one of my typos so I made a quick change… As for the interview I’ll submit one.

June, I corrected an obvious typo yesterday. This is the site where anything can be edited, and keep in mind that DOES include the Herald. Let people correct typos if they see them, or else it may come across as low-quality if there are some. EDIT: That being said, it’s not the place to be moving around chunks of articles. It is the author’s work, but if there are some glaring typos then let them be changed.
