Hi everyone, this is just a quick note to let you know that Reuben and the engineering team will be doing some updating for the wikiHow infrastructure within the next little bit, so the site will likely be in read-only mode for 15-30min.

Thanks for your understanding and patience!

Thanks for the info.  Can you go to this page and add the reason (if you can)?  Thanks.

Just saw.  Thanks.

Had to use the traditional forums sign in to get back on after I logged out.  Anyway, here is the link to the classic sign-in.  You will have to reset your password first.  (I probably was not the first one to discover this, but here it is anyway:  https://forums.wikihow.com/entry/signin )

Hopefully, this fixes the “Internal error” messages we have been getting the past few weeks.

Database is unlocked, now.  What is new?

Although it’s back up, we just need to be gentle for the next little while - things like image uploading won’t work for a little bit longer.

There’s not really anything new for us to see, just backend infrastructure changes to a different data server.

If you notice anything not working, give it a little time and then feel free to let me know if something doesn’t seem to be working correctly.

Thanks everyone!

Oh, so that’s what you are talking about.  Can you just disable the image upload form altogether until image uploading is ready?

Thanks @Awesome-Aasim . I was logged out even when logged in on the main site :).

Has the site already closed down or is it about to shut down?

@WikiaWang It’s done and is back up now :)

@JayneG Great! What was updated? I saw that there’s now a submit tip button, but maybe it was always there?
