For those who are interested. These are traffic cams in the Boston area. http://www1.eot.state.ma.us/boswebcammulview.aspx

http://www.ustream.tv/channel/idg-news-live - This is a live cam showing Copley area. The Boston Public library is on the right; John Hancock Tower is the blue tall building in the top right hand corner. The huge “show” of the storm is between 9 pm to 4 am ET. Snow started at 10 am this morning. There is a statewide travel ban placed at 4 pm, and we’re all predicted to see up to 3 feet by tomorrow afternoon.

Hope everyone in the path of the storm stays safe…3 feet is a ton of snow. I remember the two blizzards only a few days apart we had a couple years ago in the Mid-Atlantic, and not being able to leave my neighborhood by car (roads were basically inaccessible) for nearly a week.

You will all get your exercise tomorrow… shoveling out from under that stuff! Stay safe!

Just a morning update - Monica and I both never lost power; I’m above 2 feet of snow in Boston’s suburbs, with over 5-6 feet snow drifts (so for example, depending where your car is in the parking lot, you can see one side of your car clear as day or your car is completely buried under 5 feet or so of snow)

Best wishes to you Mal and Monica too - and anybody else who is living in the New England/North East area that received a ton of snow from the blizzard. Hopefully the power stays!

In the process of digging out, my car was buried under 6’ of drifted snow! Those familiar with my location; we were OK and did not evacuate. Never lost power/heat/internet, thank God. I hope everyone else who got hit is doing okay. Thanks everyone for your concern <3<3

I know this is a bit late but I hope anyone in the area stays a-ok:slight_smile:

Thank you for your concern @nedifier , but most of us are a-ok!
