Are we just friends or more?
There are a few subtle signs you can look out for to figure out if he likes you back. For example, does he choose to be around you when he can be around other people? Let's say you're at a party. If you walk away, does he make a point to come find you and be next to you? Does he try to spend time alone with you? In terms of body language, does he sit with his knees pointed toward you? Does he seem happy when you come over to talk to him? If you answered yes to most of these questions, there’s a good chance he’s got feelings for you.
He's a good friend of mine.
My advice is to be open and honest. If you really do feel this way about somebody, you want to be able to approach it in a really level-headed way, and really think about what you want to say and what's most important for them to know. Is it important for them to know that the friendship can continue? Is it important for them to know that your feelings have progressed past the point of friendship and you are open to giving something a try? You can absolutely approach it in a way that isn't scary.

Talk to them one-on-one in an area that you're comfortable in. Maybe bring it up when you're together, but when they're about to leave anyway, so at least they can have some time to think about what you're saying and don't feel pressured to reply right away. Let them know you've been starting to feel a certain way, and it's okay if they don't. Tell them you cherish their friendship, but you want to be honest with your feelings and where you're at right now.
Best questions to ask to know someone better?
Instead of just jumping from question to question, let the other person's answer guide the conversation. Really listen to what they're telling you and prepare for follow-up questions that you could ask about what they're saying. It'll keep you so much more engaged in the conversation if you're thinking about ways to expand upon what they're saying and ask them to give you more details.
How can I tell if a guy likes me when I'm talking to him?
There are subtle signs you can look for. Check his body language—is he sitting with his knees pointed toward you or is his body angled in your direction? Does he seem happy to be talking to you? If you walk away, does he make a point to come find you again? If the answer is yes to these questions, it could be a sign that he likes you.
