QuestionIs a poem a good idea? If so what should I include in it?Community AnswerThat's a great idea! Here are some forms that might be good. Acrostic poem (write Mother or another related word down the side and for each letter, write something special you love with her.) Haiku (if your mom likes nature, this might be perfect. It's a three line poem with a strict syllable pattern usually about nature, the lines have 5, 7 and 5 syllables respectively.) Couplet (two lines that rhyme, you could write it about something you love about your mom or love to do with her.) Or just write about Mom, and rhyme every other line (ABAB). If you want, you could draw something to go along with it that illustrates your poem.

QuestionWhat if your mother does not want you to get her a gift for Mother's Day?Otterly BadgerificTop AnswererGive her an experience or mementos instead! You could make her breakfast in bed, or make dessert for dinner. Spend time with her doing something fun together, like gardening, a craft or going for a walk. Write her a story about what a great mom she is and give it to her. You could also offer to help out around the house, anything she'd like help with or anything she's been wanting cleaned/sorted/tidied, etc. for a while.
