Do you want to add your phone number to your X (formerly known as Twitter) account? You can do that from your computer or from the X app.

Go to X. If you aren't signed in, sign in with your account.

Open your settings. Click on your profile picture from the top bar and select Settings and privacy from the drop-down list.Advertisement

Select your country/region.

Add your phone number. Type your number without adding 0 before your number. Hit the Continue button. Now X will send a code via text message to your phone.

Verify your number. Enter the verification code in the Verification code box and click Activate phone .

Wait for X to send you a confirmation message. Also, you can see a "Your phone is activated!" message on your computer.Advertisement

Launch the app. Sign in to your account.

Tap on your profile icon from the top menu.

Open your settings. Tap on Tap Settings and privacy from the profile icon menu.

Tap on Account .

Add your phone number. Tap on Phone number or Add .
- If you have already added a phone number, tap on Update number .

Type your number. Don't add your country code.

Tap "Add phone". Now X will send you a verification SMS text message.
