  • Question
If I change my Facebook to "in a relationship" and I'm friends with that person will it show on his page or does he have to confirm it first?
    Community Answer
The other party will have the option to post it on his/her page before it becomes visible. However, if the two of you have many Facebook friends in common, it may not matter, as your friends will see your post.
  • Question
My partner blocked me and then added me as a friend again, but I now can't find his name in the relationship space (even though I can tag him in photos). Why is this?
    Community Answer
It sounds like it might be a problem on Facebook's end. I would recommend looking through their Help section to see if there's a solution.
  • Question
What can I do if I want to see somebody's profile, but they have blocked me?
    Community Answer
You would have to either use one of their other friend's profiles or make an entirely new page and add them as a friend again. I recommend just leaving it alone.

      Tips

      • If the person being alerted to your status change doesn't get an email link or can't find it, tell them to check "Notifications" to find the relationship request.
      • Before you announce an important relationship change on Facebook, make sure you have told the most important people in your life first. Your parent(s) or sibling(s) might not be too happy if they find out about your engagement on Facebook instead of hearing it directly from you.
      • You should discuss a relationship status change with the person you're seeking to connect with before updating Facebook. You just want to be sure that the two of you are on the same wavelength.
