If you accidentally liked a post or just want to get rid of old likes from your account, Facebook makes it really easy to edit and remove them. Whether you’re removing post likes or unliking a page , you can access them all from your settings. Keep reading, and we’ll cover the quickest ways to delete your likes as well as hide reactions from anyone’s posts.

How to Edit Likes on Facebook

  • Go to the page, comment, or post, click Liked, and change it to Unlike .
  • To unlike a post on desktop, click your profile picture and go to Settings & privacy > Activity Log > My Facebook activity > Comments and reactions > Likes and reactions .
  • To unlike something on mobile, go to your profile and tap the 3 dots next to your name, and then go to Activity Log > Your Facebook activity > Manage comments and reactions .

  1. If you see the post in your feed already, move your cursor over the Liked button or other reaction you gave the post. Simply click on it to unlike it.
    • Unliking a post won’t notify the person who originally shared it.
  2. Locate your profile picture in the top right corner of the page. A menu will drop down.

  3. This is usually the first listing on the menu next to an icon of a gear. Clicking it changes the menu to display more options.
  4. You'll see this near the bottom of the menu listings. Doing so opens the Activity Log page in your settings to see all the interactions you’ve had. [1]
  5. Look on the left side of your screen for the menu option. This will open up all of your interactions on Facebook, including your likes.
  6. It's a tab on the left side of the page next to a thumbs-up icon. When you click it, all of the posts you’ve reacted to and commented on will appear on the main part of your screen.
  7. Check on the left side of the screen underneath the Comments and reactions heading. Click on Like and reactions to only see posts and comments you’ve reacted to.
  8. If you want to unlike everything, click the All checkbox at the top of the right panel. If you just want to remove a few likes, click the checkboxes for each post or photo you want to unlike.
    • If you only want to unlike a single post, click on the 3 horizontal dots on the right side of the window.
  9. The option will appear on the top right side of the page once you select a post. When you click Remove, all of your reactions from the selected posts will disappear.
    • You may need to confirm your password before your reactions are removed.

How to Unlike Facebook Posts and Comments on Mobile

  1. Look for the menu option in the bottom-right corner of the screen (iPhone) or at the top of the screen with your profile picture (Android). A menu will appear.
  2. Select your name at the top of the menu. This will bring you to your profile page.
  3. Look next to the "Edit Profile" button on the right side of the screen, and tap on the dots to open user settings.
  4. The option appears in the list of Profile Settings near the middle of the page. [2]
  5. This expands a list of different interaction types, including your likes and comments.
  6. Doing so opens a list of posts that you've liked, reacted to, and commented on.
    • If you only want to see your reactions to posts, tap on Comments and reactions and select Likes and reactions from the new dropdown menu.
  7. Scroll down until you find the post or comment that you want to unlike. When you select the 3 dots, a menu will expand.
    • If you opened the Likes and reactions page and want to get rid of all your likes at once, check the box marked All at the top of the screen.
  8. This removes the like or any other reaction you made from the selected post, comment, or photo.

How to Remove Liked Pages on Facebook

  1. Start typing the name of the page you want to unlike into the Facebook search bar. When you see the page appear in the results, click or tap on it to open it. [3]
    • To find the Page, just start typing its name into the search bar , then tap it in the results.
    • When you unlike a Page, you will no longer see posts from that Page on your feed and it won’t appear in the “Liked” section on your profile page.
  2. A button will appear at the top of the page that either says Liked with a thumbs-up icon, or it will say Following with a bell icon. When you click it, a new pop-up window will appear on your screen.
  3. If the page only said “Following,” just click on the Unfollow option that appears in the top half of the window. If you liked the page, then click or tap on the Unlike this Page slider near the bottom of the window. When you’re finished, click Update to confirm unliking the page. [4]
    • This removes your like from the Page, so it’s removed from your profile, and updates will no longer appear on your home page.
  4. If you don’t want to manually search for the pages you liked or think you’ve forgotten about an old page, the Activity Center on your profile shows all the pages you like and follow. [5]

    • Tap Settings & Privacy .
    • Select Settings .
    • Scroll down and select Activity Log under the section marked “Your activity.”

    • Find the Page you want to unlike and click the 3 dots to the right of the name.
    • Click on Unlike or Unfollow when it appears.
