Want to keep a special post pinned to the top of your Facebook profile, Page, or a Group you administer? Facebook’s pin post feature went missing for a while, but now it’s back, and you can easily pin posts using the Facebook website or the mobile app! If you manage a Page or Group , you have even more options, like adding multiple posts to the “Featured” section at the top of the Page or Group profile. In this wikiHow, we’ll explain how to easily keep your favorite posts exactly where you want them.

    Navigate to the post you want to pin. In the Facebook app or website, tap or click your profile picture at the top of your feed next to the text “What’s on your mind?” to visit your profile. Scroll down to find the post you want to pin.

    Tap or click the ••• icon at the top right side of the post. A menu will pop up.

    Select Pin post . You’ll see this option at or near the top of the menu. A message will pop up telling you that the post is now pinned to the top of your profile.
    • To unpin the post, tap or click the ••• icon again and select Unpin post from the top of the menu.
    • You may not be able to pin certain types of posts, such as reels shared from Instagram, on the desktop version of Facebook. If you can’t pin a post on your computer, try doing it in the mobile app.
    • You can only pin one post at a time on your personal profile. If you pin a new post, it will replace the previous one.

Pinning a Post on a Page

  1. Pinning posts on Facebook pages is similar to pinning on a personal profile, but you have some additional options. To get started, open the Facebook app or navigate to facebook.com in a browser.

    Tap ☰ (mobile) or click your profile picture (desktop). On an iPhone, you’ll find the menu button at the bottom right corner of the screen. On an Android, it’s at the top. Tap it to open a menu.
    • If you’re on a computer, click your profile picture at the top right corner of the screen.
  3. At the top of the screen, tap the down arrow next to your name and profile picture. Tap on your Page in the menu that pops up at the bottom of the screen.
    • On a computer, you may see your page at the top of the menu when you first expand it. Just click on it to switch profiles. If you don’t see the page you want right away, click the See all profiles button.

    Tap or click your Page’s profile picture at the top of your feed. It’s next to the text that says “What’s on your mind?” This will take you to your Page.

    Navigate to the post you want to pin. Scroll down in your feed until you find it.

    • You can always unpin the post by tapping ••• again and selecting Unpin post .

    Add posts to your Featured section as an alternative. In addition to pinning posts, you can also add posts to your Page’s Featured section at the top of your profile. This option allows you to pin up to 6 items. Here’s how to do it:
    • Open your Page and scroll down to the Featured header. Tap or click Manage .
    • Tap or click the + icon.
    • Browse the options under the Recent posts you can pin header to find a post to feature.
      • In the desktop version of Facebook, you’ll also see some options under Other items you can pin . This includes things like your reels and recent videos. The featured items you select will update automatically as you add new posts to these categories.
    • Tap or click the pushpin icon in the top right corner of the post. Your post is now pinned to the Featured section.
    • To unpin a post, tap or click Manage and then tap or click the blue pushpin icon in the top right corner of any post in the Pinned items section.

Pinning Posts in a Group

    Navigate to the group with the post you want to pin. If you manage a Facebook Group, you can pin posts to the Featured section at the top of the group page. To get started, open your Group.
    • In the mobile app, tap ☰ > Groups > Your groups . Tap the name of the group where you want to pin a post.
    • On the Facebook website, click Groups in the left-hand sidebar. You might have to click See more to find it. Click your group under the Groups you manage header in the left menu.

    Tap or click ••• on the post you want to pin. A menu will pop up.

    Select Pin to Featured . On mobile, this option is a few items down from the top of the menu and shows an icon of a megaphone. On desktop, it’s the first item on the menu and shows an icon of a pushpin.
    • Once the item is pinned, it will appear in the Featured tab on mobile and in the Featured window at the top of the Group page on desktop.
    • You can always unpin a post by tapping or clicking ••• at the top right corner of the post and selecting Unpin (desktop) or Unpin from Featured (mobile).
    • Alternatively, open the Featured section and tap or click Add . From there, you can browse recent posts to pin or create a new featured post or item.
      • You’ll see additional options in the desktop version of Facebook. For example, you can create and pin a list of rules for the Group or create and pin an event directly from the Featured section.
