How can I find out who uploaded a private video on YouTube?

You cannot find out who uploaded a private YouTube video unless they grant you access or you recall the channel name from when it was public. If the video is embedded or in a public playlist, it will simply say "Private Video" without revealing details. If you commented before it became private, your comment in your History tab might provide a clue.
